P.S. A valuable and interesting interview for anyone seeing this production. It should be a required item for anyone considering inconsiderately booing this production, as one of the reviews you include in this blog indicated. Ignorant people should inform themselves before acting like idiots!!

ReplyDeleteI just heard this interview for the second time (better than the first time, when I only had "buds" rather than headphones). Your production IS "vivid, gripping" and revealing of what is going on in the minds of the characters.
And Fru Persson is not only a "director's dream", but also an audience-member's dream!!!! She is ALWAYS acting or reacting every second she is on stage (gripping!!!); I strongly hope Speight brings her back.
And: toi, toi, toi for your "Barbiere"; it will bring me back -- form Germany, where I live most of the year; you have a GREAT touch for comedy; my German Partnerin and I both loved your "Falstaff"!!!
