Seattle Opera has the best scene shop of any theater I've been at in Europe or the USA!!! And the best designers. It's not only an aural pleasure to be at a Seattle Opera production; it's also a visual pleasure -- and the sets never overwhelm the production.
ReplyDeleteSo, I wish I were in Seattle now for your "Lucia"; Schwerin, Germany, where I now live will be doing a new "Lucia" next month; too bad Seattle doesn't have a repertory policy, but I know that is not possible in most US cities that are not spelled New York.
Tschüß,
