Seattle Opera Child Acrobat/Circus Performer Auditions
Seattle Opera will be holding child acrobat/circus performer auditions for its upcoming production of La bohème, choreographed by John Todd.
Seattle Opera is looking for 4 children:
- Two boys (age 10-12) who can perform tumbler/circus tricks/juggling, ball walking.
- One boy or girl (8-10 years old) with tumbling skills.
- One boy (15-18 years old) with juggling/slight of hand experience.
Positions are paid.
Audition date: 4 p.m., Monday, November 25, 2019.
Rehearsals begin: April 6, 2020
Show dates: May 2, 3*, 6, 8, 9, 10*, 13, 15, 16, 17*; Special school matinee May 19 11a curtain; 2020
Male dancers should have strong technical and partnering skills. Jazz, ballet, and/or musical theatre background preferred.
Female dancer should have strong baton tricks and dance skills (jazz or hip-hop vernacular).
All dancers should bring a current headshot and resume.
If interested in baton role (both women and men encouraged to audition), please bring baton of choice to the audition.
Positions are paid (AGMA contract)
Audition will be 7 p.m., Monday November 25, 2019.
